DESCRIPTION:Ebenezer Creek is a very historic ecosystem in Rincon\, GA only accessible by kayak or canoe.  Rincon is about 1 hour from Skidaway Island.  Ebenezer Creek is a scenic black water creek that flows through Effingham County and connects to the Savannah River at the Ebenezer Historic site. Lined with cypress and Tupelo trees\, it is a beautiful creek for canoeing and kayaking.  Cost: Gas\, lunch\, $79 for kayak\, guide & gear. SUMMARY:Sunset Dinner/Dolphin Cruise
DESCRIPTION:SIBC members will be treated to a Pontoon Boat Sunset Dolphin/Dinner Cruise on Wednesday evening\, July 19th. We will head out of LHM to the Wilmington River towards Wassaw Islands North Beach and serve a box lunch. On the way\, we will boat close to Cabbage Island and hope to come across the flock of rare white pelicans which frequent Cabbage Island. \nWe will cross the Wilmington River and pass Sister Island and entered Romerly Marsh Creek. We should see white egret’s that frequent the marsh and they provide a spectacular backdrop against the green marsh grass for our cruise. \nOur course will wind around the marshes and we will come close to Wassaw Island North Beach. This is where we are likely to see schools of Dolphin. Following our encounter with any dolphins we will head back to Landings Harbor Marina into a setting sun. \nRSVP is required for this cruise and there will be a nominal fee. More information will be provided as we get closer to July 19 th

DESCRIPTION:Come join SIBC for lunch at Tubby’s Tank House and a unique\, behind the scenes tour of Thunderbolt Marine\, highlighting the capabilities for work on all size boats and sailboats…including Mega Yachts. \nSIBC will be carpooling from the Skidaway Island Methodist Church parking lot at 11:30 am for a 12:00 pm lunch at Tubby’s. From Tubby’s we will walk to the Thunderbolt Marina for our 2:00 pm behind the scenes guided tour. We should be back on Skidaway Island around 4:00 pm. \nIf you are planning on attending this unique event\, please RSVP to Cheryl Walters\,  cwalters2211@gmail.com. DESCRIPTION:CCA-GA is the Georgia affiliate of the Coastal Conservation Association\, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization\, with over 100\,000 members. SUMMARY:CSAH's Tiny House Project Presentation
DESCRIPTION:SIBC has supported the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless (CSAH) for several years. The CSAH’s Tiny House Project is the first of its kind in Georgia and the US. It provides homeless veterans with a place to eat\, sleep\, take care of themselves and a chance to return to normal life. \nJennifer Darcy\, Executive Director of CSAH has graciously agreed to take time out from her busy schedule to present to SIBC members an overview of the exciting work that CSAH is doing in our community to help the homeless\, above and beyond the Tiny House Project for veterans. \nThe presentation will be held on March 6th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Come learn more about the hope that the Tiny House Project gives to veterans and the other great work that CSAH is doing. Those SIBC members who have heard Jennifer speak before were really impressed at what CSAH is doing in our community. \nThe presentation will be held at the TLA Building in the TLA conference room on Skidaway Island. Come celebrate the Vernal Equinox with other SIBC members as we honor a long standing Boaters Tradition of burning our old winter socks and lifting a glass to the end of winter and cheer the New Years Boating Season.\n  \nIt is all happening March 15th at the Dockside Bar at the Landings Harbor Marina from 5:00 pm until approximately 7:00 pm. The weather is looking GREAT on March 15th.
