SUMMARY:Savannah Boat Show & Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Join us on March 7th as we take two cruisers from the Landings Harbor Marina at 10:00am to the dock at the Westin Savannah Harbor where we’ll have lunch.  After lunch\, we’ll walk next door to the Savannah Convention Center for the Savannah Boat Show.  We plan to be at the Boat Show for two hours and then return to Landings Harbor Marina by 5:00pm.   \nThe prepaid cost in advance is $15 for boat gas.  You can write a check to SIBC and mail it to 16 Middle Marsh Retreat or place the check in an envelope in our tube.  \nThe cost of lunch and the $12 per person entry fee to the Boat Show are on your own. \nSpace on the cruisers is limited to 12 individuals\, so this is a first come\, first serve event.  Please RSVP to Hugh Upton at hughandcharlene@gmail.com by February 28th.  Your RSVP is not confirmed until the $15 payment is received. \nIf the cruise boats are full\, you can always drive to the Westin Savannah Harbor and meet us for lunch at 12:00 noon. \nHope to see you there!

DESCRIPTION:Ahoy SIBC members!  Are you ready to say good-bye to winter and celebrate the opening of the 2025 Boating Season?  Come celebrate the Vernal Equinox with other SIBC members as we honor a long-standing boaters tradition of burning our old winter socks\, lifting a glass to the end of winter\, and cheering the new year of boating season.   \nIt is all happening March 14th at the Dockside Bar at the Landings Harbor Marina from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.   \nWhat you need to bring: \n\nA new\, unopened bag of white athletic socks to donate to the homeless\nA pair of old winter socks to burn\nYour SIBC lanyard with name tag\nCash.\n\nAdult beverages\, sodas\, water\, snacks\, and hot dogs are provided.  $2.00 cash donations for adult beverages and hot dogs. \nAnd…don’t forget to donate generously to the Tiny House Project.

SUMMARY:Thunderbolt Marine Tour & Dinner at Tubby's
DESCRIPTION:Take a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Thunderbolt Marine\, a full service yacht repair and refit facility located on the Wilmington River just outside Savannah\, GA.  Marine staff will highlight the facility’s capabilities for high-quality maintenance and repair work on all sizes of boats and sailboats\, including mega yachts. \nSIBC will carpool from the Skidaway Island Methodist Church parking lot (54 Diamond Causeway) at 3:00 pm to arrive at Thunderbolt Marine for the tour at 4:00 pm. Following the tour (at approximately 5:30 pm)\, we plan on having dinner at Tubby’s Tank House. We should be back on Skidaway Island around 8:00 pm. \nIf you are planning to attend this unique event\, please RSVP by Wednesday\, March 12th\, to Debbie Baier at dbaier@bellsouth.net with the number attending the tour and whether or not you will join us for dinner.  Debbie’s phone number is 404-483-9111 if you have questions.   \nWe need to know how many people are attending so we can alert the Thunderbolt Marine Staff on the size of the tour as well as make reservations at Tubby’s.  If you RSVP for dinner\, you will be contacted by our social committee with the dinner menu selections and how to pay the associated cost.  Hope to see you there!
