SUMMARY:Flotilla to Downtown Savannah
DESCRIPTION:NOTE:  All boat trips are weather dependent.  Boat captains will determine if the trip can occur based on current weather conditions and the safety of all passengers. \nFor this flotilla\, we will meet at Landings Harbor Marina (LHM) at 9:15 AM to board a small flotilla of boats for our leisurely cruise to downtown Savannah to see River Street\, a mega-yacht servicer\, and the container ship loading/unloading area (if there is no container ship/tugboat traffic).  Originally\, this flotilla was billed as a circumnavigation of Wilmington Island. The route (described below) will still make that circumnavigation\, but we are adding the trip to downtown Savannah to make the flotilla more appealing. \nFrom LHM\, we will head up the Wilmington River through Thunderbolt and Causton Bluff.  We will then enter the South Channel of the Savannah River and proceed to the main channel\, which will take us to downtown Savannah where we will cruise slowly by River Street and under the Talmadge Memorial Bridge.  We will pass by Engineered Yacht Solutions Savannah\, which services mega-yachts worth over $100 million.  They usually have large yachts in the water for you to see.  If there is no container ship or tugboat traffic\, we will proceed up the Savannah River to where the container ships load and unload.  We will return via the Bull River and Tybee Cut\, which will put us in the Wilmington River within miles of LHM. \nPlease note that this is a short excursion (only 3 hours).  We will not be stopping for lunch.  However\, feel free to bring snacks and beverages. \nWe have secured three (3) boats for this trip and can accommodate a maximum of 24 members.  The cost is $15 per person to cover boat fuel.   \nPlease RSVP no later than 9/28/26 by using the button below to purchase your boat ticket.  Your reservation is confirmed only after payment is received.   \nSORRY\, THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. \nBuy Now \nIf you are unable to purchase a ticket due to a sellout\, please email Cheryl Walters (siboatingclub@gmail.com) to request to get on the waitlist.  Once on the waitlist\, you will be notified if a ticket becomes available. \nREFUND POLICY:\n \n\nAny member who purchases a ticket and then needs to cancel must do so by 9/28/26 in order to get a refund.  No refunds after 9/28/26.\nIf the captain cancels the cruise due to weather conditions or any other reason\, your money will be refunded to you.
