Flotilla Around Skidaway Island

NOTE:  All boat trips are weather dependent.  Boat captains will determine if the trip can occur based on current weather conditions and the safety of all passengers.

For this flotilla, we will meet at Landings Harbor Marina (LHM) at 10:15 AM to board a small flotilla of boats for our leisurely cruise around Skidaway Island.  From the marina, we will head up the Wilmington River toward Thunderbolt and turn into the Intracoastal Waterway (aka Skidaway River).  We will pass by the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography and then cruise through the serene community of Isle of Hope.  The cruise will continue under the main bridge to Skidaway Island and down to South Harbor to the Vernon River, which merges with the Little Ogeechee River flowing into Green Island Sound.  We will pass by Delegal Creek as we enter Adams Creek and make our way between Skidaway Island and Wassaw Island.  This part of the cruise will let you see the full length of Skidaway Island from the water. After traveling through the maze of creeks, we will come out into the Wilmington River at Wassaw Sound and will head up the river back to LHM.

Please note that this is a short excursion (only 2½ hours).  We will not be stopping for lunch.  However, feel free to bring snacks.

We have secured three (3) boats for this trip and can accommodate a maximum of 22 members.  The cost is $15 per person to cover boat fuel.

If you are unable to purchase a ticket due to a sellout, please email Cheryl Walters (siboatingclub@gmail.com) to request to get on the waitlist.  Once on the waitlist, you will be notified if a ticket becomes available.

REFUND POLICY:

• Any member who purchases a ticket and then needs to cancel must do so by 7/31/26 in order to get a refund.  No refunds after 7/31/26.
• If the captain cancels the cruise due to weather conditions or any other reason, your money will be refunded to you.
